I’m trying something new here. I would like for this format, this system, to be a healthier way for me to share everyday mundane things without being distracted and influenced by content and ads, wasting hours away by doom scrolling.
Also, I want to keep this as low-pressure as possible, so please view these journal entries as me just sharing an Instagram story for my close-friends list.
So… I’ll be sharing the books I’ve read, the movies I’ve watched, the trips I planned and didn’t, how my cats are doing, how my mom is doing,… those kinds of things? I guess that’s alright.
So I’m just going to start;
I think I will be deleting Instagram soon, I’ve already gotten rid of other socials but currently in the process of downloading my Instagram data and media, so I at least have those memories.
Yesterday I finished my first book of the year: The City and it’s Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami. All I can say it’s a classic Murakami story, comforting and nice, but if you’ve read all of his books (like I did) it won’t surprise you or blow you away. This book is one of his more accessible stories though.
My current obsession is the movie Perfect Days by Wim Wenders, I can’t stop thinking about this film. I’m a sucker for slice of life.
Yesterday night I watched the animated movie Flow by Gints Zilbalodis, a masterpiece. The non-spoken movie aspect was the bomb.
Today I went to the physio for my lower back, I’m getting old and rusty ha ha.
I mostly worked on this website today, I want to keep it as simple as possible, trying to combine work and personal life on here is finding a bit of a balance and it took up quite some time.
For dinner I made red curry with sweet potato, it was so so so good, if you know you know.
Current music obsessions:
This is how Bolleke chilled with me as I wrote this :)
